Pictured below is what I think is the original radio/stereo & amp out of my 71. After an hour researching with the search function, now I'm not so sure. It does have the yellow rectangular light on the top right of the face. Is this the factory original out of my 71 and is there a way to be certain? It worked fine when it came out (fine for an old radio anyway) of the car.
Any ideas what it may be worth, ballpark at least? I might be interested in selling it. Thanks in advance.
Here are pics. Radio & amp first, then radio tag, then amp tag.
Hi 71,
7303211 is the part number listed in the 71 AIM for the stereo radio option's receiver assembly.
7311911 is the number listed for the adapter assembly.

Thanks Alan, I have the AIM too, and all the NCRS books and inserts, assembly manual and fact books. It gets overwhelming keeping track of all these numbers !! Have a great day and thanks for your time..
I suppose the value is what someone will pay on a given day, if they need this specific part (s).
Hi 71,
I guess because of the work involved in getting the radio in and out, and because of it's age, many people who bought it would send it off to be checked out by a radio shop.
I think that would affect the value and your asking price.

Alan

I agree Alan and thanks for your valuable input..
I just hate to store all these old Vette parts.. I did it back in the 90's and refuse to be guilty of it a second time..
I'm never going to use the radio again and I could careless about originality when it comes down to small things like a radio. The Vette is not an investment for me, it's for me to enjoy while I walk this earth and nothing more. I fully appreciate and understand that some obsess over originality and that's why I'm willing to sell it...
However, I don't want to give it away, or look foolish asking for too much.
I would hang onto the radio, you never know things might change and if and when you go to sell it the perspective buyer just might want it.
On the plus side there was not a lot of am/fm stereos in the early years and the longer you hang onto it the more it will be worth. They are not impossible to find but you have to search for them.
On my 72 it came with a stereo and the head portion was missing I found one in Carlsile and I looked after the fact and found some with a couple hundred dollars core.
