C3 'vette questions for design???
hello guys and gals. I am new here. I will admit right off the bat I am not a big Corvette fan although a 63 Grand Sport gets me going.
But I would prefer a 58 Chevy Impala SC over one any day. lol. Now for the reason I am here. I am currently deployed in Kosovo and get bored out of my mind some days and I am also an automotive artist. One of my buddies just bought a 78 Stingray with a warmed over 350 and auto with a ratchet shifter. All black on black and we have been talking and he wants a late 70 to early 80s Streetmachine look with the 671 Supercharger. Problem I am having is is I can not find any pics of these and was wondering if anyone could help me out? He is partial to having fender flares and body kit if it looks right. Thanks.

ACI still lists the Wide Body "Turbo" and "GT" parts. Here's a link to the front fender page. http://www.acivette.com/aci0014m.htm You can see some C3 Wide Body Kits on the Greenwood site here http://www.greenwoodcorvettes.com/Streetcars.html They also show the "GTO" kit is still available from them http://www.greenwoodcorvettes.net/gc3/index.htm You should be able to get some ideas if nothing else from the Greenwood site. You might want to take a look at the thread 'Pics From Carlisle' on this forum. It has some photos of cars with flares, and, even a couple of GS replicas for you.

F Gregg and ACI both carry the L88/ZL1 flares. You may want to do a search on "flares" and see that if you are looking to install them they need to be "worked" in order to fit "nice". Stan "Road-Race Vette" made his own flares because what is available needs so much work. Also there is a very long thread here with "vintage" road race pictures that has lots of C3 race cars to get ideas from.
