Not speaking for Theiskell, but they are very likely polished AL. I put a set of Coys 17x8 on mine over the winter, black spoke instead of grey, and the rims are polished:

TTII 17X8 in PVD finish. So close to chrome you can't tell the difference. Tires are 255/50/17 Nitto 555 Extreme.

Its interesting to see the change from 15" to 17" goes way back to 2010. With all the problems trying to find 235/60/15 tires now 17" or 18" may be the best way to go.
