I am about to change the light bulbs in my dash and center console and im wondering if i should have a light behind the wiper switch?
Already had it out but i dont have a lightbulb and i dont know if it should have a light bulb like the other 5 that you connect and plug in the dash or if its a special light bulb!
Hi C,
Not sure what year you're working on but through at least 72 there's no light for the wiper switch. You just need to feel for it in the dark.
Regards,
Alan

Sorry, forgot to mention its a 76!
Maybe there isnt a light after all! I just replaced the wiper switch and there is a strange hole next to it that look like it could take some kind of bulb, but with an odd socket...
Not sure about it!
On my '73 there is a hole next to the wiper switch that uses a standard gauge type lamp socket. The light will illuminate the wiper lens lettering but not the switch itself.

Do you know if it is a socket attached to a grey wire like the 5 sockets for the lower gauges or if it is a socket attached to the wiper lens?
Not sure what a wiper lens is, but from what I can recall its a socket with a grey wire like the 5 sockets for the lower gauges.
I ment the see through plastic lens with wiper written on it... The bit that illuminates!
Either way you answered my question, thanks a lot.
I think that bubba got rid of the socket and wires, cant see it!
