Spark plug question

Just picked up 8 AC Delco R44TX plugs. When I took them out of the boxes, 5 are one size and 3 are another. The difference is the size of the metal part above the threads and the size of the ceramic insulator. On some plugs the metal part is longer and ceramic part shorter than on other plugs, but the overall length of all plugs is the same. All have "R44TX" printed on the ceramic. What's the difference???

i cant tell you why they are differant sizes.you can take them back and get all the same size .for those of us that have headers a shorter plug would be nice.
