I agree with the others. Contact GM. You will need to present what the product is, which logo's/art you want to use, quantities, materials, and drawings of your proposed products for review. Often there are time limits for licensing a logo, trademark etc... that need to be renewed each year or what ever the terms of the agreement are.
Also depends on if someone already produces something close to what your idea is. If that's the case, they may turn you down.
Good luck!

that sounds like I am sueing them lol. you think that will really be that necesary?
Since GM licenses MANY products, from clothing to aftermarket parts, I am sure they have a set fee. I would imagine that your lawyer will get that info, charge you and hand over what you could have done yourself with a little effort.
Nope. GM just paid back the "bailout" loan with interest. I guess they didn't really need the handout after all. Of course, many of us GM retirees already knew that. The whole bankruptcy 'thing' was just a way for GM to shed it's responsibilities for benefits that most of us worked 30-40 years to get. Oh well. They're just run by a bunch of Ferengi like all of the other big U.S. corporations and financial institutions. People no longer matter....only money.

Your comment sent me a-googling, because I was thinking, ok, they did pay back the loan, but who OWNS GM ?? And I found:
On Tuesday night, the automaker wired $4.7 billion to the U.S. Treasury Department and $1.1 billion to Canada...
But the loan money is only a fraction of the financial support that the federal government gave to GM over the past 12 months to stop it from going out of business.
Overall, GM received $50 billion in federal help. In return, the government got $2 billion in preferred stock and 61% of the company's privately held common shares.
So it appears to me that the US Government remains the majority owner of GM. Who owns the rest? The unions?
