So I have the rear bumper cover off and the spare tire tub removed and I can see paper beginning to curl up and I'm fairly sure it's my tank sticker
I should have the tank dropped in a day or two (pictures will come) and I know what an important document that is, so what's the best way to get the actual sticker off of the tank? I've heard steam it off or just carefully peel it.. What do yall think and what's worked in the past?
I hope that is an attempt at humor. The last thing any one should do is rip it off.

Aside from nostalgia, the tank stickers on later C3s have little value- the VIN already indicates which engine the car came with, and the cars had been watered down with virtually no rare/desirable options left to choose from.

I agree with the razer blade, work it underneath as you lift the sheet up. It'll just continue to deteriorate if you leave it up there.
And don't try to clean it or brush it off. The ink will smear right off.
I photocopied each of mine and glued the copy back on with a note on it.
Then simply put the originals, dust and all, in one of those plastic binder sleeves.
Except the Pace Car, that got the original back on.
