Original Part Numbers
Thx,
Marshall
All the sealants and adhesives are listed in the front of the AIM by symbol, part number, and description. UPC 0 Sheets D1-D7.
The problem is deciphering the description and finding a 2010 equivalent.
Many of the fasteners are listed in the CORVETTE PARTS BOOK 53-72 that Motorbooks publishes. Still a lot of work to track down. The Paragon and Dr. Rebuild catalogues list quite a few fastener descriptions by location used.
There was a thread about this a few days ago on the tech forum and I believe Duke94 posted an example picture of fastener #s and descriptions from the GM STANDARD PARTS BOOK.
When I was putting my 71 back together I spent a zillion hours just putting together a list of the flat aluminium rivet and pop-rivet sizes, descriptions and where used. Another zillion hours were spent putting together a list of part numbers and description of the many different clips used in the engine compartment and underbody.
I don't know of an easy answer to your question.
Regards,
Alan
