Hi T,
Sometimes getting started is the hardest part of a clean/detail job. The second hardest is knowing when to stop!
I'll be looking for your up-dates!

Hi tt,
It looks like you've gotten REALLY SERIOUS!!!!

Agree.Mark the bags with the different scres and bolts is a must
Pictures help to. The pictures helps me too because i am going to paint the engine in the car or at least try
A fine job your doing there. I'm still in the process of detailing my engine bay but didnt have to take the engine down as far as you have. Are you going back with the original blue paint or a different color? I take tons of pictures but thats because I've never restores a car before and need the pictures to help remember how it goes back together. Also I use tons of baggies and at walmart I also buy the 1/3rd size snack baggies for smaller items. I also use the small post-it paper tabs to write down the notes and contents of the baggies cause somehow the notes I made on the outside of the bags came off once and had a hard time figuring out what was what. Good luck and keep the pictures comming.
By the looks of the valve covers and air cleaner, your off to a great start.
I remember Cali79 (then became Cali68) said he was able to detail his engine bay by using a straw paint nozzle, kind of like what you get with your CRC brake cleaner spray can. That and lots of towels, aluminum foil wrap, newspaper, & tape to mask off areas not to be painted.
I think you also need to get the frame and inside fenders-firewall to be satisfied with your job.
Wow, that is some serious cleaning. Thanks for posting the pictures. Can't wait to see the finished product...hope to use some of your techniques to help pretty up my engine bay.
