Default engine decoding please!

Hello everybody,

Trying to figure out where my engine came from and what car it belonged to before it got to mine.

Engine ID code: v0711tjc
Block number: 3970010 GM 34

I was able to find this in regards to the engine suffix:

TJC 1973 350 conv.cab - 160 4 C-20 to 3500

but i am confused about the block number. I researched it can it came up with a 69 camaro? and also i saw on another side one where it belonged to a 68 vette? Do the engine id code and block n umber tie in together? which one is more important to look at.

Any help is appeciated.....thank you

Andy

It came from Flint, Michigan. V is the plant code for the Flint facility.
0711 is the date it was machined and assembled at Flint (July 11)
Engine suffix of TJC indicates it a truck engine.
