Hi

Good question. I am also interested in this.

Reason is that there are exhaust manifolds ( for BB ) with and without the air holes on the market ?

For '68 model year AIR was needed for all BB's, due to the stepped-up Government emission requirements. Earlier years did not need AIR except for CA Corvettes.

Hi

Thanks.

Wonder where the correctly dated 68 exhaust manifolds without the air holes come from ? ( aftermarket ).

the 68 im working on doesn't have the a i r stuff any more, the manifolds sure look original thought, no holes for injection pipes and lots of rust, ill check the numbers when i pull them.

I believe all '68s had AIR. The NCRS Judging Manual will have the information. 3880827 and 28 are the correct part numbers for the manifolds.

My copy of the NCRS guide states that all '68 and '69 Corvettes had AIR, no exceptions.
