Default Car Cover Recommendation

I am supposed to get my car back next month (keeping fingers crossed) with it's new paint. I will be storing the car in my garage and would like to know if there is a certain car cover/vendor that you all recommend. I will be keeping it covered when I am not working on it as I don't want to get any scratches while it sits for months at a time. Thanks for your help and suggestions.

this is my take on covers. if it is in a garage why cover it? wash it often and you will be happier. all it takes is one grain of sand or anything for that matter to be on the cover or on the car when you cover it and you can actually scratch the paint with the cover. if the car is spotless and the cover is perfectly clean then the softer the cover the better. no need for an all weather cover. i had a black vette that i wanted to protect with a cover and ended up getting fine scratches from the cover. was not happy and will never use a cover on a fine finish again.

I keep mine covered in the garage during the winter when they aren't going to be driven much. I like the Wolf covers, but they are impossible to find anymore. I went with a Dustop fabric for my indoor covers. It was the closest match to the other Wolf covers I already had.

My two are Wolf. All weather, flannel lined, breathable.

Before putting the cover on your car, check with your painter to ensure the new paint has had adequate time to cure.

The biggest thing I want is to protect it from dust and perhaps from getting accidentaly scratched. The car will not be sitting outside during any rain so I don't need a water resistant cover. I have seen flannel ones and etc. Is there a particular brand that fits better? Thanks for your help guys.

I talked to my painter on Friday and he did suggest that I not cover it for 60-90 days and to be sure and get a cover that is fleece lined and breatheable. I am thinking I may go with a "dustcover" when I do buy one since it will garaged.

The most important thing with car covers is to never put a cover on a dirty car. The dirt will get into the inside surface of the cover and will scratch your paint every time you put it on. Always dust off the car before putting the cover on. And always roll up the 'unused' cover with the inside turned under.
