Wow, it's been a long time. Just purchased a 71Cpe out of Iowa. L48 with all original drive train. 4sp car with PS,PB,A/C,T/T. 81k on odometer, believed to be correct. Car sat for 33years with one owner who put 16K miles on it and decided to sell. Car now has a holley, but he gave me the original Quadrajet with the correct numbers and dates. From what I can tell, all dates are correct for car. Trim tag is L06. Vin is 120965. Car is is pretty good condition given the year, I will post pics shortly.
Had a couple of vettes b4, 63splt and 69 L71 which was stolen in Apr of 72 (ugh).
Glad to be on board. Will post pics soon.

Kevin1945,
Welcome and congrats!! Sounds like a really nice car. Hopefully this 71 will make up for losing the 69 so long ago.
I had my Malibu SS stolen at about the same year. It is something you don't forget, after all of the work and $$ that go into these cars.

Hi Kevin,
It's great to see your post and to hear that you're a 71 owner.
You can post pictures by uploading them to a site like PhotoBucket and then coping the entire [img] code into your post. Magic... the picture appears.
Regards,
Alan

I am enjoying driving her for now. Will begin spruce up in the winter.
Going to be in Aberdeen Marland the week of August 2nd. Hope the weather is cooler by then.
