A/C Duct for C3
does anyone know how the duct stays connected to the ball vent.. ive been told thee is a clip that holds it in place, mine seems to always come off the vent... i cant seem to find one in the repro cataloges... anyone have a pic of it... thanks, jeff oops mine is a 74

Hi f,
On non a/c cars it's just a 'slip' fit between the body of the astro-vent and the air duct, with a felt strip added to act as a seal.
In the 71 AIM it looks like A/C ducts may have 1 screw from the bottom, can't tell for sure.

thanks mike i saw the wing nut in the aim.....the duct was changed over the years cause it has no provision for the lap cooler louver... the stud for the wing nut is part of the vent assembly i presume...
