...I'm not interested in any of this for my '74 Orange L-48 coupe as I have the original tank broadcast sheet(I removed myself), the original broadcast sheet that was in the jack storage area and the original dealer Corvette Sales Order Form. Plus not too many people are forging L-48 automatic rubber bumper coupes last I heard.

...now my Blue '68 327/350hp convertible I have no clue where it came from...

,,,for this car I'll use the one service.

Warren...thanks for the reply! Yes, in your case...regarding zone & dealer, rather the lack of it... would be a great benefit to you! Wish you well!

Q. Maybe I should re-evaluate, and attempt to back track regarding my original dealer, (in which I was told, from a 3rd party... had in fact desolved) You may still have a copy of my Order Copy, Zone 20, Dealer 519...would you have any info on that dealer? Such as name, address, Phone #?? Thanks! Muddy

Don,

I checked with the NCRS database without this new information they are offering. For Zone 20 Dealer 519 their data base says unknown original information, but shows active for 1972. I assume they would have some additional information with this newly found data. Might be worth sending in the $40.

Hello Mike,
I was merely defending the NCRS for all the doubters that started getting down on them for "CHARGING" and a service for members only....

Just pulling your leg.......

I think there is some self induced confusion here on what the NCRS is actually offering, but nobody seems to be moaning about price- yet. Compared to the $300 for the award confirmation service, $40 for this seems like a bargain.

Hi

Yes, sorry. 40 is OK, for me it will be 100 because I need to add the 60 member fee, but still OK, price-wise.

It is just that I ( we ) expected more of this documents . After all, we are waiting already sooo long for some documents.

Lets put some hope into this microfiche story.

Warren...thanks for the info! Looks somewhat promising. I did find out...Zone 20 is L.A. and dealer 519 is Steves Cheverolet in La Habra, Ca. The best part...they are still at this location. Needless to say, La Habra is a high rent area...so the pieces are coming together. What documents might they have on file? Muddy

Will they tell you if they have information on your car prior to paying the $40, or if there is no information will they return the $40 fee?

I have a 74 so there is a chance that they will not have any information on my car.

Well I for one will not be disappointed! I've owned my 62 since 80 and have no clue where it came from history wise. The only thing I've had with the car to indicate where it came from was a Standard Oil Sticker in the door jamb from Columbus Ohio.

This may open a door for me that I thought was closed.. and if there is no info, well it was just meant to be!

Does me no good. My '73 was sold new in Tucson AZ and I have been in contact with the dealer but they do not have records from that far back, apparently purged them every so often due to storage issues.

The second owner had all the documents but tossed them as did not see any need for them (this was in the late 70's).
