Flexplate labor $$$

Anyone have any idea about how much I should expect to pay to replace the flexplate in my 1978 Vette?? It does have headers.

Why not do it yourself? It's not trivial, but it's not that bad a job.

Honest answer? Whatever they charge you. If you are not going to make the repairs yourself, you'll have to pay to have it done. Do you have a shop you trust?

i bet its expensive.....i would think the part will be $150 at their price and probably $500-700 in labor depending on where you are. i bet it will take at least 4-5 hours of labor and who know what will break in the process( i am thinking exhaust componets) it would be interesting to see what a flat rate manual says for labor
