I'm new here, so Hello!
Just rejoined the Vette brotherhood today. I had a '79 back in 1989 and finally found a nice project C3 to get back into the drivers seat.
Friend of a friend has owned this '70 350/300 coupe since 1972! Was originally Donnybrooke Green but, for some weird reason, was repainted a pale yellow in the 80's.
Still need to check the motor for numbers but the PO says it's original, I believe him as he has nothing to gain at this point by lying and I didn't pay a premium for NM anyway.
A few pics to start off with:
As found in his garage, been parked here since 1992, two front tires still holding air.

The only real fiberglass damage to speak of:

Engine bay shot, factory air parts still there, works? Ha ha, wishful thinking:

At home with her new Bavarian stablemate:

It'll be a long slow resto, as the purchase itself took some funds dedicated to another project, but for $4500, I just couldn't pass it up. My oldest brother had a Monaco Orange '69 back in about '80 and I just absolutely loved that car....now is my chance!
Cheers,
Russ

Welcome!
It looks like you've found a very nice project!
From the pictures it appears that the car is quite complete which is a real plus. If the frame and birdcage are in good shape, (not too rusty), that would be even a bigger plus.
I think you're in for some real fun!
Regards,
Alan

Good to have you here!

Welcome to the forum. 70 is a great year & the original color is a beautiful color. You have a nice project and looks to have some nice options. Let's see a few pics of the interior, engine and underneath.
Here's a pic of my 70. Hope you decide to return it to it's original color! BTW,DBG was the most popular color in 1970.

Again
We moved from San Antonio to Boston lat.e '13 and I had put the project on hold. The car went to a friend's house for storage until we moved to Corpus Christi. His son asked to buy it and I agreed.
It's been sitting in his workshop since then in pretty much the shape as when I bought it other than some disassembly.
So, I talked to him the other day and we made a deal. I'm clearing space in my garage and should have it here in a couple of weeks. I'll most likely pull the front clip to address the birdcage and then what happens next.
Looking forward to this...again, lol

. What's next on your "to do list" for the Vette?
