The car has no mods. original motor 40,xxx miles. Fastlane said the viny is original, no rips or fading, they do appraisals to and labal as near mint condition for whole car. I am looking into hiring another appraiser from another county. I asked alot of other corvette dalers in the area and they gave me good reviews on them. I have some photos but do not know how to load them. They are taking the old paint off and repainting.

I am looking into hiring another appraiser from another county. I asked alot of other corvette dalers in the area and they gave me good reviews on them. I have some photos but do not know how to load them. They are taking the old paint off and repainting.
The term "MINT" to you and I, i'm certain are drastically different, and different yet again to the next guy. One more pickey then the next. What documentaion do they have to prove 40,000 miles not 140,000
what other paperwork do they have on this car on top of the "WIDOW" story ??

Yeah I know what you mean by the mint thing. I have pics of the miles and ill ask to see paper work when I get back from the war and see if they can e-mail it to me. I been looking at all kinds of web sites to help what to look for. I know where to look for hidden rust and that. Plus what make them more vuluable like an automatic being less and a manual being more valuable. how do you post picks?

Here is the skinny on condition. paint is being striped and repainted original color, Fuel tank is being cleaned from residue, new filter, fuel lines flushed, carb rebuilt, and new tires

If you pull out of Fastlane and make a left onto the frontage road and go about a mile there is a shop called Just Corvettes on the right. Dan is the owner and he makes his living fixing up the aged and screwed up dream cars we desire. He's a straight shooter and it would pay for you to have him put it up on his lift and inspect it. He can be brutal but if you tell him how your going to use it he'll tell you the things he thinks need repaired/replaced. I've done lots of business with Dan and he's got a real class operation.

1. reading the e-mails made me laugh a bit. Your dealing with a typical "USED" car salesman. He said he gave you a military discount ???
thats all sales talk hog wash............he would give the same discount to anyone..........only manufactures of new cars like "GM" have military discounts "TRUE DISCOUNTS" for soldiers NOT ON USED CARS............
2. He said and a quote: "no need to worry about rust, most of the car is fiberglass so rust isnt an issue" as you can clearly see, he has no clue what he is talking about ...........DO YOUR HOMEWORK, DO NOT RUSH INTO THIS.......wolklp had a very good idea, check with that guy DAN, and see if there might be a forum member in the area that can take a peek & be your eyes...................ZIXXXPACKER

But after what you all been saying sounds more like 10,000. I am trying to find someone to take with me to check it out. The pics are not working, used to be able to drag and drop but it does not work like that any more. I had to download each pic by itself to get it to work ill try a zip file see if that works.
