Just remove the center gauge surround bezel (cluster). Use good mechanical judgement to remove the old clock and install new clock in reverse order. Be careful with your printed circuit. Reinstall gauge bezel into dash opening. If it resists, don't force it. Be sure the A/C duct is properly inserted into back of the bezel.
At the link below you'll find instructions on the dash pad removal. In this is a section on how to remove the center dash cluster.
Once the cluster is out it's simple.. just remove the front adjusting **** by using a small screw driver, then remove nut on the back of the clock that pinches the printed circuit and then remove the three bolts that hold the clock to the bezel. That's it.. reverse and you've got it! http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=263
