Dip Stick
Hellow Fellow Vetteheads,
Checked my oil yesterday and the end of the dip stick was broken off.
Because I do not have the broken piece, I was told there are two different sizes, does anyone know what size my Vette would take.

I once took a pan off a couple years ago and found a broken fuel pump lever. I was really surprised, I actually had to study the part for a little bit to figure out what it was. Apparently, someone else had a fuel pump problem and changed out the pump, but never pulled the pan to locate the broken lever. The engine did not have any damage only a leaky pan gasket was the reason for dissassembly. Al

Sounds like the wrong stick might have been in there and broke off inside, I agree that maybe you should go in the pan and see if you can find it, you never know were it is going to go and may cause some serious damage.
OR
Maybe someone modified it to suit, and there is nothing there, who knows unless you go in and find something.
