Good day, guys.

Just found some photos of my '68 when I had the interior out a few years ago. Your opinion on the amount of rust present on this 40+ year old car. From other threads posted here, I gather that this area can be a nightmare concerning rust. This '68 was sold new in Chicago, Illinois (zone 11 - dealer 023). From old repair bills that came with the car, it spent some time in Billings, Montana and area from 1984 until 1988. Again from service records, from 1988 to 1993, the '68 called Minot, North Dakota it's home. 1993 is when I imported it into Canada. She has been my girl ever since. Thanks.

I am guessing a one point the driver's door has been removed a time or two, judging by the "white globs" around the hinge bolts

Hi bkv,
I agree, the cage that can be seen in the pictures looks to be in very good condition!
Regards,
Alan

I just got done removing my interior and your mounting bolt area is cleaner than mine. I am happy with what I see on mine and you should be happy with yours. The cage I must agree, looks good

The #2 mount areas look pretty good to me. Bottom surface looks a bit strange though, are there inserts or some sort of plate on the bottoms where the bolt goes through? I'm used to seeing a flange with spot welds where the lower rail fastens to the pillar. Could be a difference between years? Mine is a 70. A picture of one of mine before I cleaned off the surface rust.

Looks like a PO filled the space between the glass and the edge of the windshield pillar with caulk? If they did, you may want to clean it out and have a look. Otherwise the pillars look fine.

Now you got me curious!!! Is this a difference between years??? Could anyone else post a few pics of a '68 to see if your '68 is the same??? Thanks BK3
