I own mod and write on many forums and email groups and I would add to your list people should understand that while some things on forums are facts many things are just opinions just because someone doesn't share your exact same opinion it isn't some horrible slam against you.....I have really good friends who different in some pinions to mine 100% and this is wonderful.
I have also seen the ego types fight and type for hours to try to side step the fact they were wrong about something...we can all learn something new....open minds are great...just not so open the brain falls out.
Lastly and sadly some people just like to lurk and troll, they seldom add anything besides just making posts to poke at someone...those to me are the biggest waste of space.
Have a good one,

i belong to a couple of motorcycle forums with one being just for 2 stroke street bikes and lord help you if you mention what type/brand oil to use. quickest easiest way to get flamed there. i havent seen anywhere close to the hostility on those forums here. i've been working on stuff for 30 years but i've been out of cars for the most part since 2001 or so. still, the skills that i used with european bikes are transferable to cars.

Back to AIM for a second if you guys don't mind.
What makes this manual "special" over, or in addition to a FSM?
I ask because until this thread, I've never heard of this type of manual.
I've done ebay searches since & have a couple saved in my searches, but I'd still like to hear the "skinny" on this manual.

I find the C3 area to be one of the more civil areas of CF, and CF in general to be one of the more civil places I have been on the 'net. If you feel the need for a thick skin to hang here, you might want to think about your posting style. Yes, there are folks here who appoint themselves the "grammar nannies", but you find that everywhere. It gets annoying, but I find it easy to ignore. Nasty flaming and stuff getting personal doesn't seem to happen much here, and when it does, it seems like the target deserves it more often than not.
