Default oops!

73 Convertible

Anyone have a photo of left side dash (after speedo/tach removal)?

I should have taken pics - didn't. Having trouble re-installing.

Specifically, the main harness routing (over or under the upper brace)?

And the Speedo cable over or under the same upper brace.

I have seen photos of coupes dash - They are different, they don't have all the extra braces (apparently)

thanks...

I can't imagine anyone disassembling/reassembling the driver's dash area "stuff" without having an AIM for reference.

This area is definitely not the most pleasant to work on...

Here's my 69....

It looks bad but putting it back wasn't as nearly as hard as you would think. Most of the bulbs are color coordinated with the dash so you just have to line up the right ones.

Getting 'stuff' connected properly is not the toughest problem. Routing all the wiring in a way where it can be reassembled without something getting pinched or putting something in a bind (or even getting it together at all) is the most difficult part. The AIM does show proper routing and positioning of those 'innards'.

The AIM does not show the detailed main cable routing coming from the firewall. For instance - the main harness is routed BETWEEN the two braces. (Braces are only found in convertibles). Also, it does not show speedo cable routing that goes ABOVE the two braces. This detail is in the pictures above and is not in the AIM. My .02

So you are saying those three little rods that go to the big center support are only on Convertibles? My 72 is a model kit that didn't come with those.
