Hi,
While reading about the new Veyron Super Sport I learned that in order to change the spark plugs ALL the body work from the rear of the doors back needs to be removed.
This seems like a bit much until you realize that for the base price... $2,700,000... a mechanic comes with each car and lives in your garage for as long as you own the Veron.
Regards,
Alan

I guess the a/c causing some spark plug access problems on Corvettes doesn't matter.

Great story Alan. My son drools over the Veyron SS and dreams of the day he can buy one. I hope that he is able to afford one eventually, that means I get to live on easy street!!
BTW, are you joking about the mechanic part??? For the price, who knows!!!!

Not kidding about the mechanic. Mechanic is on-call for the owners and will be flown out to fix any issues.
McLaren F1 owners had a full set of tools and a toolbox delivered to them to keep in the garage and the car had a modem that could be used to call back to the factory for diagnostics and the problem diagnosed. If the owner couldn't fix it himself, McLaren sent a tech out there to fix it. This is also the company that will airlift your car back to England for the routine maintenance (oil change) for $5000.

And I was told that cocaine was God's way of telling you that you have too much money.

That is NUTS! I guess practicality has absolutely nothing to do with a Veyron, so why bother engineering a better way when people with that much money will never change a spark plug anyway. Just bill the labor to their account and get paid. Oh well, now I am SURE I am not buying a Veyron. I can use the money I save to buy an estate home to store my Corvette!!
To the rest of us poor folks!

You know, I can appreciate the fact that it is a supercar with some pretty extraordinary engineering, but for all that money you'd think it wouldn't be so ugly!
