Default Anyone have this problem with Window Regulators??

Just got my new window regulators for my 1971 convertible with power windows. I went to install them and the top 2 rollers fit great on the long track the is attached to the window BUT the bottom one that fits in to the small track DOES NOT FIT!! I cant believe it - the roller is about a 1/16th too big.

Has anyone else has this problem with after market regulators??

I am thinking there might a slight difference in the rollers from the import ones vs the USA made ones.. anyone confirm this??

thanks

Here is what I found with replacement rollers. Vendor says that no one else has had a problem. Yah, right.

Maybe you could grind some of the diameter off by spinning it against a fine sanding disc?

Hello Blain -
I did a search and found your original post last night -

you are right - they are saying that this is really weird and NO ONE has had this problem. Well.. they are being very nice and letting me return them and they are picking up the shipping. I ordered another set of regulators from another vendor, which were USA made. I will let you know how it turns out tomorrow.

I have one of those tools that you can measure the width etc. The old regs had 24mm rollers and the NEW one has 25mm on them. The new ones did fit the top track though..

anyways - will let you guys know what happens tomorrow -
