I have a 2003 along with the 74.
Its the best of both worlds..........................

The C-5 is a great car for road trips, no worries, just a great dependable car

Didn't see the reference to retirement although I know what that means: lower back pain. Makes me think of selling my 1974 in the spring.

Then you may not want to see the rest of the garage.

Congrats on your C5! I know your going to love it.

I got my 98 C5 with about 33,000 miles on it several years ago....it now has ~140,000 miles and still running strong. I like the C5 so much that I put an LS1/T56 in my 79 when I couldnt pass smog in Ca.

I paid $20k for my 98 C5 with 17k miles 5 months ago... Looks nice in the garage while Im out driving my 79.. Seems the 79 gets more attention than the 98, but the 98 is a bit more comfortable on trips.. (note, I didnt say reliable though)

Good luck with the new toy!
