I've heard the stereotype that Corvette owners are all just old men. I'm in my 20's and a proud owner of a Corvette. So how many owners are there that are in their 30's or younger? No disrespect to all the older guys on here, but someones gotta be the future old Corvette owners one of these days
Don't be too tough on us old guys. I am 62 and had my first vette, a '66 convertible, in 1969. I've also owned a '63 Falcon sprint, a '71 Roadrunner, a '73 GTO, I restored and drove a '68 Jag XKE, and now I drive my '72 Stingray. I do like sporty cars!!! Now that I'm retired and my kids are grown and have great careers I can really enjoy my ride.
Have fun!

Also heard words like conservative and rednecks when it comes to Corvette owner stereotype.
As a non American, I didn't expect that.
I don't know to what extend it's true but all vette owner I know are nice guys for sure.
Got my first vette (99 C5) when I turned 30. After a few years I got rid of it, but now I am back in the "club" with a 1972 and I am 37 now. I guess that puts me close to the "older" category though.
some of us are old men,but we feel sooo much younger when we get behind the wheel. why do so many young guy's pull so close with their pony cars and try to scare us?
46's not old, is it?
I restored a 39 Chevy and sold it to get the Vette (my dream car as a kid) and I was lucky to sell it, as in New Zealand, those old 30's cars are nostalgic for guys my dad's age (old guys). And they're starting to drop off the perch! As a result, the market's swamped with all this 1930's stuff, and prices are falling. Muscle cars, on the other hand, are holding up ok here.
Cheers
Grant
I am 56 and have had a Vette pretty much since I was 25 (5 C3s in total). My body is getting older, but the stuff going on in my head is still pretty much the same as it was 30 years ago. The Vette helps keep it that way.
I am 41, not too old to still get out and blow the dust off the car. I started with muscle cars moved to exotics then to porsche's before coming over to the vette family.
I have to say that I have never found a friendlier bunch of car owners. From 1st generation through the latest, vette owners will always waive, stop and talk or generally make you feel like part of the family.
It is really good that the younger guys and girls are keeping the hobby going, and we thank you for that. You know that it is one of the greatest hobbies you can be in, to drive, to work on and to share with others. I would tip my hat to you all, but I don't wear one, but again, thanks for keeping it alive, have fun.
I wanted a Corvette from the time the '63 was introduced. I was 9 at the time. I bought my 1st Corvette a new '74 at 21. So I didn't start out old but I did stay loyal. I've owned at least one ever since. I'm 57 now and don't have any intentions of embracing another marque anytime soon.
