Default firestone tyre ID

hi all, this tyre came with my '72 as the spare, it sure looks original!
can anyone help id it, possible year etc?
tread is full, no visible wear.
defiantly dont intend to use it, it's rock hard!
the rim has K 12 5 (valve) 16 AZ and by the studs {GM K 12} E

i am running 235/60/R15 on the car now. (26.1 dia 82.0 cir)
havent tried to see if 1 will fit in the carrier.
was thinking of getting a 215/65/R15 (26.0 dia 81.7 cir) to fit in the carrier.
will this difference be ok with the diff?

[sorry for the long post]

Those codes are for the wheel, not the tire.

Your spare looks like it could be original. I think the DXK112 is a date code.

DXK112 that would be the 11th week of probably 72 but could also be 82 or 92.

yes, they are the rim dates, just trying to give as much info as possible to help ID
the rim looks in good condition, looks like it's hardly been used, not damaged where the nuts go

did they still make that style of tyre in '82 or '92?
or would they have changed the pattern by then, gone away from nylon cord.

thanks

Hi,
That tire wasn't made in 82 or 92.
For me the date give-away is the Nylon Cord designation.
VERY nice find.
Regards,
Alan

The tire has some VALUE to some owners. The blackwall is an especially nice find.

I know...just my way of describing how to read date codes.
