Default Front shock Installation

OK it's been awhile but how tight is the top nut tightened down? My brain wants to say..enough to compress the rubber gromet out flush with the big washer, does this sound right? Thanks Ed

That's inch-pounds....not foot-pounds. 80-120 inch-pounds is 6.5-10 foot-pounds (very low torque). I think your "turn it down till the rubber bushing fills the space" is a pretty good estimate.

Thanks 7T1vette that was what I was remembering from back when, so I turned the torque wrench down to 10'lbs and went from there, thanks again "all" for your knowledge. Ed

On my '81, I did the "crank em down til they're flush with the grommets"
Been fine for over 2 years now.
