Saran wrap Frame?
I've just completed restoring my chassis and once I get my Differential back I'm looking to drop the body back on the frame and begin stripping the paint, then prep and prime... I've seen others with wrapped frames to keep them nice after all the hard work.. my concern is about how to get all the plastic off when I'm done painting... won't some get stuck under the rockers atleast and then trap moisture? Any tips/advice?

Rockers are not added on till the car is completely painted. By then you should have been under neath cutting and pulling the wrap off.

I wrapped my whole frame, gas tank, motor. I used that pallet wrap plastic. Wrap just firm and not stretchy tight. Don't wrap around any frame mounts or places where the body will sit on the plastic otherwise it will be a bitch to take off.
Rockers are not added on till the car is completely painted. By then you should have been under neath cutting and pulling the wrap off.

How's that 72 coming along anyway? Last pics I've seen were bare frame with the block installed (if I remember correctly).

Rob, Thats what i was wondering... How hard/easy is it to get the wrap off once you are all done. So I guess avoiding mounts...easy
Grant...by rockers...I ment the rocker channels I wan't sure if their may be a pinch point somewhere there.

Hi Bryan,
I wrapped very carefully and it came home from the painter's shop pretty clean.
It's worth putting extra effort in the wrapping. You have to be a little smart so you wrap it but it can still roll.
A single large sheet over it all as you drop the body to fit the doors and hood helps too.
