Thanks for all the kind words, fellas. I will not have it for 10 days or so. They are installing a new compressor/condenser, and the parts aren't in yet. The sellers were very accomodating to me. I can't say a bad word about that at all. I'll check out the grilles when she arrives....and as for the parking lenses....well, I have been guilty of swapping them out on a 68 (camaro ss to rs tail light) myself... Again, I appreciate all the vette love...and I'll get working on that avatar....prob blasphemy to have that ugly 90's thing on this section of the forum anyway! :0) Lee
Congratulations on the 70.....BUT The avatar is NOT offensive to "most of us"..a Corvette is a Corvette lol
Heck I own several Corvettes a C2 three C3's a C4 and a C5...
ANYWAY...PLEASE replace the turn signal lens to the correct clear with a clear bulb...I own a 72 identical to yours (dark saddle interior however) and those Lens and the color of the bulb is the ONLY way I can tell a 70 71 and 72 apart... & I hate to be wrong..!!!

70 should be clear lens, amber bulb.
Congratulations! That's a sweet vette with nice options!
This is all minor stuff being pointed out.
I also noticed the shifter boot is from a 69. 70 had the leather shift boot. I was under the impression all 70 grills were mounted with studs, 71 went to screws. I always thought if it has screws, it was replaced like on mine.
Anyway post some pics of the engine and under side when you can and good luck with it!

Congratulations on buying a great looking C3. The '70 convertible 350/350 with A/C is quite rare and desirable. My buddy has been looking for 7 years and has finally given up. Then again, he has to have everything just right and then expects to find one for a bargain price. I tell him he suffers from indecisionitis. Don't worry about having paid too much for it...just think of it as having been bought a little too early (old antique joke)
