Pulled the trigger
Had to be:
68-72 Vert, 350 ( w/350 hp preferably), 4-speed, PS, and PB if possible, and definitely A/C (I live in Texas)…… Since selling the C4, I have been scouring the web incessantly, and bam, this one appeared. So I jumped on this little dude. Probably paid too much (again), but…oh, well. What’s new!
This is a 1970 Vert, #’s matching, 350/350 4 speed, with A/C, PS, PDB. It’s in pretty good condition: no rust, okay interior, okay paint, runs very good, and a tolerable color scheme. Definitely not a show car, but very close to what I wanted. It’s been exactly 30 yrs since I sold my last C3 to get married (!?!?!?), so I think I’m gonna like this car really well. Lee

Now you have to change your avitar. . .
One thing I noticed right away, is that it has the 72's amber colored indicator lenses on the front. I know many times 70, and 71 owners put these on to make there cars look like new 72's at the time. But, it also could indicate that there was some sort of damage to the front of the car, and the newer lights were used as replacements.
It's most likely the first. And even if it's the second, I would assume that the work was done well, but I would probably consider replacing with the correct clear lenses so as not to draw attention to it.
Congratulations.

I have seen several of these on Ebay, Lakeway motors in MO? Wondering how they were to deal with? Reading some of the feedbacks the guy seems like kind of a jerk... I have asked questions on several of his vettes and he did not seem very forthcoming. Good experience?

I believe the transition from studs to screws took place late in the 70 model year, with some 70s having screws and some very early 71s having studs.
The grills with studs have become crazy $.

Thanks for the info. A nice car none the less, didn't mean to suggest otherwise.
The grilles on the 70 are an oddity, some with studs, some with screws. Mine has one each. Strange part on mine is the left side has studs, the side which had some minor damage long ago. My right side has screws, think that side was untouched. I may never know what was done by past owners.
Yeah, either grille, studded or with screws are EXTREMELY expensive to replace.
