Hey guys looking at a 68 convertible numbers matching all original down to carb except valve covers, fan clutch, water pump, guy has all of the old original parts he replaced. car runs and drives new top, 327 300 hp motor 4 spd with speed warning and telescopic wood wheel, power brakes . car needs paint and has minor nose damage and needs paint. guy wants 14000 what do you think?
I think the price sounds very reasonable from your description. A Corvette convertible with two chrome bumpers, 1st model year version, and only $14,000? I think there are other potential buyers who are not thinking twice on this purchase.

AND mostly original! (again, not that I care about that, but it does add to value... lol)
Ok so I picked up the car yesterday, and as I am looking at I am wondering how rare is this car? The vin number is 00128. Is this one of the first convertible 68? By a vin date decoder it is showing sept 6 1967.. Any feedback would be great
Rare? No. Early? Yes. First or second day of production. If memory serves, the coupes did not get into production until January, 1968, so all the early '68s were convertibles.
