Well it is about that time to start reconditioning the undercarriage. By no way is this going to be a full on restoration, but more of just a way to help perserve her for years of driving fun and to make it look a bit better underneath. So with that being said, I was curious what everybody recommends to paint the chasis with. I am looking for durable and not for overall correctness.
I did search a ton of threads, but just couldn't find any chassis paints that people swear by. So I am sure I will get a ton of different responses, but wanted to see what other's experiences are.
Hi sc,
I agree that Eastwood paints are a good choice
Avoid the temptation to paint EVERYTHING black. There are lots of finishes and colors under there and the look is worth the effort.
Good Luck!
Pictures to follow... right?
Regards,
Alan
Thanks for the tips everyone! I just started the fun process of getting everything cleaned up and all surface rust sanded down. Definitely a very dirty job, but even after a few hours of labor it is looking much better underneath. I figure by doing it a little at a time it won't be too bad.
