This entire thread mirrors my thoughts exactly, one minute I feel as though I should drive it through the front window of Jegs and Edelbrock, then the next I see myself installing a new choke spring, freeing up the centrifical advance and researching the proper vacuum line manufacturer... I did decide this one thing, get her insured and tagged then drive it, I think she will tell me what she wants.

I took some pictures, I'll post them later.

I belong to many car chats and BB's, but somehow I know that this will be one of the best. You guys are alright!

Survivor? What's that all about?

"Survivor" status is a specific award category for Bloomington Gold certification. It is awarded to those old vehicles which have not been altered since leaving the production factory. For some folks (a rather small population), not doing anything to alter the car from "new" condition is important/attractive. I look at those "Survivor" cars when they show up...but I can't see myself having an old car, with old/faded/cracked/chipped/scratched paint, which I can't really drive anywhere (some of them aren't even safe to drive, since they still have the original tires on them!), and don't really work on. Not a fun concept for me.

But, if you have what would be called a "survivor", and you have any inclination to sell it, you might 'test the waters' on what premium you might be able to get if you sold it.

Thats kind of cool! But this car is much closer to Concours than it is salvage. Now my pick-up on the otherhand....
