I can tell you Paul that if I had to do it all over again I would 1) Bag and label everything; 2) Disassemble everything, cut nothing, destroy nothing I didn't have to destroy to take it apart; 3) Take more pictures; 4) Slow down some and if it takes an extra month to do it slowly, do it.
I took my 71 apart in five months. Repairing the rusted birdcage took two months. Repairing the damaged frame took two months. Repairing the body damage took six months. So 5+2+2+6=15 months. Paint, Engine work, transmission work, front end work, rear end work, assembly...took another eight months thus far. Which means I am in month 23 now with only about a month to go to have two full years in on this project. Seems like only yesterday now, but it has been a journey.
