Default Paint coads

ok so this maybe a silly/easy question buthere goes.

I just got a 79 and its black, but the door jams are silver, and the interior is oyster. so i do not belive the exterior is fractory black. where is the paint coads ?

oh and 1 more thing. i worked in a pontiac dealer for years and we painted new dash boards when they were replaced. can i get interior paint for this color ? or am i better off replacing parts? One of the T-top headliners is missing.

Paint code should be on the trim tag above the top hinge on driver side door jamb pillar.
Trim # is interior (O= oyster). Paint code for black is 19, silver is 13

Do not use "paint" on interior panels. Use vinyl dye or elastomeric coloring agent [like SEM ColorCoat, etc.]. Google "vinyl dye" and learn about how to redo interior (plastic, vinyl) components. It's really pretty easy if you buy the right stuff.

The Trim Code for a 78 Corvette with Oyster interior is either "12C" for a car with an Oyster Cloth interior, or "122" with Oyster Leather, not "O".

Hmmm... if the jambs are silver, you know what that means..... twas mostlikely a silver car w/oyster interior. That would be a nice combo IMO. Ya gotta like silver though. Lof ot guys don't care for silver. Let us know what the paint code says.

so the car is silver like i thought and oyster leather. the not so fun part is they changed the carpet color also so insted of silver carpet its black also, its in good shape but i would rather have the silver carpet.

Thanks 7T1 i didnt rember what they sprayed on interior parts but i knew it was not just paint.
