Well, we're a 2 vette family. Don't dog us cuz one's a C6. The '69's motor will be done next week. Can't wait to drive mine again. I guess I'll have to steal hers ('05) every once and a while.
Nothing wrong with having a C6 as they are one great automobile. We love our Z06 and what a car to drive. I like that 69..... Kind of a low horse engine though, like oneman power
Hope you have it back on the road soon
Once you drive one of the newer cars you really appreciate the technology. It has come a long way in 40 years. They are great cars. The 69 with Fred Flintstone power looks good. They turn more heads but the newer ones are better drivers.
Thanks guys. Good catch on the Bargain Corral sign. Didn't notice that before. I do have to remove it before putting it in the garage otherwise it hits the door. I love both of the cars. The C6 is AMAZING to drive. It's so well rounded, performance, comfort, "luxury", RELIABILITY.
The motor is getting built by a local shop and I'll be picking it up next Thursday. That's one place I didn't want to screw up. It's a NOM 427 in a 454 block (that's what I bought it with). I think the car was originally a 390hp. I've been spending all winter/spring fixing all of Bubba's "repairs". My RS600 is being built this week and ships next week (e-mail from Keisler yesterday) so my timing will work out pretty good. I'll have a more in-depth post of what I've done once it's back on the road. It's been fun, and painful, but when it's done, I can claim mine is better than hers.
Motor before, sorry, no perm... (after pic next week)...
Just picked it up today. The RS600 arrives Monday, I'll put it together and in the first weekend in Aug (out of town til then) and hopefully be cruising soon.
Nice looking engine! You'll love the overdrive manual trans ... even better than EFI. My dad just did a TKO600 in his 1958 Corvette and I just did a T-5z in my GT-350. Great mod.
BTW: what's the sport bike in the background?
