CLARIFICATION 74 and below
as a result the true duel exahust system had been changed.
I also read that in 76 they started installing steel floorboards to help with the heat created from the Catalytic converters.
So i asume the floorboards prier to 76 were fibreglass, Is this correct?
I ask because i have decided to give my C5 Z06 a sibling, and choosing the right year to restore has been on my mind for a few months.
I think for many people deciding about what years to consider the issues are... chrome bumpers or not, big block or not, coupe or convertible.
There seems to be the most thoughts about those differences.
Good Luck!

Alan
Motor dont mater because i already have one built, well prety much.
body style i want is T top.
When i get done building whatever i decide to do, It will be custome, one of a kind.
Picture a early modle knotchback with 80's modle front clip, and rear bumper, on a early modle t top knotchback with a greenwood GTO hood and side pipes, and late interior with a modern twist.
I am even thinking about some how adding a HUD out of either a C5 or caddy.
hard part is finding a specimen. It seams that you can find a completed car for a cuple grand more than a junker. If i could just find the right project car for a decent price i would be set.
I will probly wind up with a rolling chassie and a parts car.
if i cant find what i a looking for in a 70's vette, I have 3 other posible cars on my list to restore not including a 65 GTO convertible that my brother and I inhereited that needs a lot of work. got a 455 for that one!!
But for now, i will continue on working on geting my shop fixed up for a good workspace, and continue reserching and adding to my list.
and the fiberglass floorboards was one thing that I needed to get clarification on to add to my list!
