Default trim tag decoding question

my trim tag has 'CHEVROLET E27" above "TRIM 403 992 PAINT". I found a decoder that told me the E27 was May 27 (1970) and the 992 PAINT was Laguna Gray. Couldn't find anything to decode the TRIM 403; any help?

My Corvette Black Book shows trim 403 to be Black leather.

Assuming a '70 model.

403 is black leather
992 is Laguna Gray
E27 is build code = May 70
