Thanks Torch,
My father-in-law bought his first c3 in 1989. It was a 69 Vert 350. When he bought it it was in good but not real good condition. He worked on it for the first 5 years he had it. Then his wife was diagnosed with cancer and he covered the car outside and devoted all of his time to her care. She passed away in 2009 but at this point he was up in age and his own health prevented him from getting the car back in operable condition. He talked about selling the car and my wife and I offered to buy it from him. Knowing that I restored a 67 Mecury and a 62 Ford, he also knew that I had a passion and a knowledge for antiques. He asked me to take it and take good care of it. The car had not been started for 16 years. I made day trips to his house for 8 months and worked to get it running again, drove it on a trailer and it now sits in my garage. I have since repaired, replaced may parts with the help of this forum. The car is somewhat roadworthy now and with a front end rebuild kit and a new rear leaf spring she be rolling sweetly. Thanks for all of your help and support and as soon as I learn how to post pics, I'll post a few.

Nice story. Posting pics is easy, once you learn. For starters, open a free photo hosting account. Most use photobucket. Then go to the help section of this forum, and follow the instructions. Then use the "posting pics practice" thread. You can practice there all you want.
This is my first C3...I had a 67 vert 427/435 4 spd back in 83. I was looking at older TA's when I realized how affordable the C3's had gotten, so I looked until I found the one I bought. I love it!
I've come to the right place. I don't own a Vette yet, but I'm preparing to which is why I have been coming here and trying to read up on them. It's been a pleasure checking out all of the pictures and reading the stories you guys have shared.
