sagging hood

Ok all you C3 owners- I just completed restoration on 73 vette, typical HOOD SAGGING in the middle when closed. What have some of you used to put under the hood between the inner fender lip/ledge to lift it back up so that it doesn't look tacky? Thanks, Lonnie

I seem to recall later cars having an extra rubber block on the inner fender lip to prevent just that. Maybe add some of those?

Yes it was. Kept the hood because it is original to the car. I used some homemade rubber blocks to complete the bodywork assuming I could find someone who had the same problem and could could say- buy blocks for this year and type car...they worked for me. Iwill eventually find something. I know alot of these years the hood eventually sagged so...Thanks

use the hood alignment bumpers from vendors the 79 glue right onto the fender rail. cut off as much as you need find the best spots then glue in place.
