Default freight question

I'm shipping a rr quarter panel from California (93257) to a CF member in Canada (zip S4X4J1). I got UPS quote of $120, now I can't seem to get it shipped for less than $257.00 The box is 55" x 33" X 11" and weighs 19lbs. Slow and cheap is what we're looking for, any ideas?

Does your buyer in Canada know up front how badly he's going to get farqued by UPS, FedEx etc with 'brokerage fees'? You won't see these charges but he sure will.

The buyer mentioned he'd had a package shipped Greyhound previously, I contacted them locally, they say they don't ship to Canada. As I recall, they said the same when I called the 800 #

Your package is carrying a Dim Weight of 145#. Ups established DIM WEIGHT a couple years ago and have made changes since to the DIM Factor - LxWxH /139 = 145#.
Call the Post Office, they may be able to get the package there for less money.

Good Luck

I'll do a walk in, getting desparate now. According to their website, it's too big, we'll try, but I'm still open to suggestions...
