Default hood problem

hi? I have a 82 corvette that came with a 1975 hood. Is this hood a good fit for a 82? Which year corvette hood will Fit on a 82 corvette. No more crossfire injection setup but carb and engine setup.
Where can i buy a used hood but in good condition for a reasonable price ?
I live in washington state.
Am also looking for top fender louver and rear trunk spoiler

I like hood with a scoope or vent but can't afford the buying price for them. Is it a good idea to buy a scoop and add it to hood.
Thanks for your input

Does it fit now?

...Which year corvette hood will Fit on a 82 corvette...
73 and up will fit; 78-81 a better choice due to the hardware.

Corvette salvage yards or posts in the C3 Parts forum.

There are no top fender louvers or trunk spoilers on the 82 models. Post pics of what you're calling louvers and a spoiler.

The Med. rise hood 73-79 is better than stock low 82 hood for carb., so leave it. There should already be a rear spoiler, so do not add another. If you want to change it you can get the 78-79 rear cover & add a wing spoiler.

One problem with the hood on d car is, it has a cracked line and secondly the hood doesn't cover the hood completely. There is a gap on the front and gap on left side. I dont know if it a hood alignment problem or just small

the hood doesn't cover the hood completely. I'm sorry, I know what you mean, but it still made me laugh!

Yeah, you can adjust the hood. It's just a hood, like any other car's hood. Loosen up the bolts were the hinges bolt on, and have a couple friends help you adjust it, then tighten 'em up again.

Default Stay with the 80-82 style

The 80 and 81 hood are the same as the 82, but without the crossfire injection air box.

There are some 80-82 hi-rise hoods out there. I have a 2.5" cowl on mine that was modified from the Ecklers hood. I have seen 2" cowl hoods at car shows, so they are out there.

The fender louvers are an aftermarket modificaiton. You can buy them from Ecklers. You cut a hole in the top of your fenders and glass them in.

The factory 82 rear bumper has a built in spoiler. There is a wing that Greenwood made for these cars. Ecklers should have it as well.

There are chin spoilers and side skirts for these cars too. Ecklers should have these too.

rzkas: this is a stock 80-81 hood. It is not a 75.

This appears to be a complete 75/79 front end, latches are different than 80/82. Hood is different design also

The hood is like the 76-79 med. rise hood. It is not the low 80-82 hood.

i got the car this way. I was told the hood is a 1975 hood. What wrong with the front end? what can be done to this hood to fit right . Are the cracks repairable? Is the hood a keeper or start searching for another?
