The tag indicates it is from a Camaro (F body) and it was assembled on March of 2000. You can use Dex III but GM # 88861800 is what is recommended. The torque rating is 450 ft lbs. Most likely it has paper blockers.

Question: is it from a Camaro year ?
What is the HP / torque rating ?
what oil to be used ( Dexron 3/4 )
Is there any modified shifter ( angled for C3 position ) available and is it easy to replace it ?
Sorry for all this questions, but any help is highly appreciated.
An offset shifter can be fabricated pretty if you want the shifter to come up in the stock console hole. The Hurst shifter is a good one to use because the shift pattern is very tight and you can get through all gears without hitting the sides of the hole. If you want a custom look and can fabricate a console plate you can bring the shifter straignt up.
Thanks a lot for all hints.
My friend has now several options and he tends to go for a modified console in order to keep a straight out shifter.
If he doesn't like it , he can always modify his shifter by cutting and welding it to the left and fwd.
What engine is this going behind? If its going behind the stock engine, its going to need a different bellhousing and possibly a different input shaft.
I am not sure what engine he puts into the car.
He told me that this would be a surprise.
I suspect a modern engine, may be the Camaro engine the T56 came from.

From the picture of the T56, it has the throw out bearing sleeve. This would indicate the pull style clutch used in the LT1 set up. I would say non LS and most likely older small block Chevy.

Rick, you wouldn't happen to have the pattern you used to fab up the modified shifter would you?

I don't know if I still have the measurements but I'll take a look around. The pattern is pretty basic. Here are a couple of pics. If you use something other than the factory Hurst shifter the plate might be a bit different. There was a guy on ebay who sold rebuilt Hurst shifters.
