I am looking at purchasing a 1971 T Top coupe, the rear panel has no square cut outs for exhaust, I thought 71-73 all had square exhaust outlets on rear valance, owner says it original
It does have the cut outs on fenders when u look under neath, the rear panel must have been replaced, the car is melanie blue with blue interior, has a new crate engine from gm, so number don't match, and tail light lenses are wrong. Car is a very nice restore, 4sp PS, PB, A/C will need T-Tops seals. it is listed on ebay link below, Its been so long since I have had a vette, I can just not up to date on values any more

Please advise
Wrong shifter, replaced radio, BB or LT1 hood, car looks like it sits too high.
Your 57 VW sounds nice....will probably appreciate more than the Vette.
Hi ys,
I'd bet the car had side exhaust on it at some point.
The side exhaust came off and an exhaust system from 74+ with 'turn-down' tips was put on. Maybe even a 'custom' system of some sort, but still with mufflers with turned down tips.
You could probably change it to the rear exit tips with a bit of welding and the $ for new exhaust bezels and exhaust tips.
The tailights are an easy fix too, just $$. Maybe the owner still has the originals?
What's the rust situation?
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
