Default U-joint caps

I've got the replace at least 1 u-joint cap (u-bolt style) so might as well do all four
Just looking at the available u-joint caps for the diff side of the 1/2 shaft and see that they offer the u-bolt style and also a HD cap (looks like a miniature crank shaft bearing cap)

Any opinions / comments?? on these HD ones? will they fit? Overkill? Solution to a problem that never existed?

HD yokes are different than standard so you cannot interchange parts. Unless you opt to swap yokes you're stuck with u-bolts.

I used the HD billet caps from Drag Vette on the diff side on my 77. Not sure if its overkill, but I do abuse mine severely.

The HD yokes have threaded holes to accept the cap bolts, while the standard yokes have unthreaded holes for the u-bolts to pass through.

Default What about HD caps with standard yokes?

Any thoughts on this setup? HD caps, standard yokes, grade 8 bolts.
