He worked paint repair in the St. Louis Corvette plant. I have a picture of him and the last C3 coming off the line in a UAW newsletter.

He must be a tough old 'bird'! I don't think I ever saw anyone painting the acrylic lacquer with any mask or breathing help.
He must have some GOOD lungs!
Did EVERY car get at least SOME paint touch up?

Sorry I don't have a scanner. So here's a story he was telling me this evening. Before they would shoot a spot they would check the gun by shooting a spot on the wall, he said the paint was about one inch thick..
Can you imagine having that???
