Adjective:
1. (of language) Open to more than one interpretation; having a double meaning.
2. Unclear or inexact because a choice between alternatives has not been made.
I don't see how you can get any less ambiguous than "yes" and "no". I do have to admit that I was having a little fun at your expense, tho. Your question was: "Are those for 4 speed or automatic?" and I answered "Yes." meaning, yes, they are for a 4-speed or automatic. Then you asked me for an unambiguous response, and I mean, c'mon, how was I supposed resist that?
Anyway, the Summit headers in question have been used by quite a few members of this forum, by folks with manual and automatic trannies, and I don't recall anybody talking about having any problems. So, unless you are doing some crazy, insane, rear-engined 'vette or something, these headers should do ya just fine. And they are so cheap, I am planning on using them as is, no coating, and just get a new set every few years. Well, maybe sandblast them and squirt a couple coats of VHT, who knows, probably will depend on how much free time I have.

i have used them on both and right now they are on my 4 speed 76.
On a 4 speed you have to take off the z bar, put the header on then reinstall the zbar which gives you the opportunity to clean it up and grease it.

He doesn't really think I'm being serious, he's being ironic! That's a little chunk of complex irony, right there! C'mon, Priya, lighten up and join the party!

How is the vht paint holding up. I'm going to have to replace my existing headers as they are rusted and one of the tubes has been crushed somehow. Just found it while rebuilding the front end trying to remove the idler arm. Figured I'll remove header for better access to the bolts and go ahead and put on the new ones.
