Ok, This might be a little juvenile and I can't say why I did this other than to see if it could be done, But I took a break from some of my real projects to build this:
Yep...waaaaaaay too much time, maybe you should call Lego and see if they want to make one (maybe they do and I haven't run across it yet). My son got several of the Lego City kits for Christmas and are great.
Looks to be a rubber bumper car with a high rise hood...clever. Any mods? BTW...for some reason I laughed when I saw the detail of the gas cap!
I like it. I think it's a pretty convincing representation given the limitations of the shapes available to you. Nice to let off a little steam sometimes and do something just for the sake of doing it.
The real test to determine how close to original that corvette really is would be to park it on the kitchen table overnight. If and only if in the morning you find two drops of oil underneath and the kitchen has the faint odor of exhaust and gasoline could you consider it to be accurate....
Oh..and if I find one post talking about possible birdcage rust, fender flares, changing the color to non original, aftermarket radios that fit in a Lego or what tires look better...you will be banned from the site
